No personal property tax. One of the few states no longer using this tax on inventories, furniture, equipment, machinery, etc.
A credit against taxed paid on purchase of capital goods — machinery, equipment.

No stock transfer tax.

Enterprise Zone Program
The Enterprise Zones (EZ) partnership is a joint state-county business effort to stimulate—via tax and other incentives—certain types of business activity, job preservation, and job creation in areas where they are most appropriate or most needed.
If your business (or a branch of your business) is eligible and is located in an (EZ), you can reduce your state income and general excise taxes and receive county benefits for up to seven years by satisfying the EZ hiring and gross receipts requirements.

Foreign Trade Zone #9
Foreign Trade Zones provide duty-free treatment for items that are processed in FTZ and then re-exported. Duty payment is also deferred on items until they are brought out of the FTZ for sale in the U.S. market. It helps to offset customs advantages available to overseas producers who compete with domestic industry.

Workforce Training Funds

Hawai'i offers excellent employee training funds for improving its productive workforce. The Hawai'i Department of Labor and Industrial Relations through its Workforce Development Division provides businesses employment and training opportunities. The Workforce Development division also provides funds to assist employers and job seekers.

Hawai'i also offers a streamlined permitting process. Streamlined Permitting Honolulu County as a legal domicile provides a single agency jurisdiction, easy registration, efficient processing and straight-forward filing fees.
